Lifeguards are on duty at both beaches during specified times during the summer, weather permitting. The Inn Beach will have lifeguard supervision from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm and Fenway Beach from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Bathers should be aware of any possible rip currents or undertow at both beaches.

Weekapaug beach buttons are available to Weekapaug Fire District members only, and must be displayed at the beaches by everyone age 13 and older. Walking or biking to the beaches is encouraged; parking is limited. Parking is permitted for WFD residents with a Weekapaug parking sticker. It is recommended to lock all bikes.

Beach boxes are permitted for Weekapaug residents only on Fenway Beach and require identification and a pre-paid fee at the WFD office. Beach boxes need to be no larger than 60" long, 34" deep, and a (rear) height of 42". Larger boxes will be required to sit in the parking lot.

Fenway Beach is the designated area for beach parties. Fire permits may be obtained at the WFD office. A refundable security deposit is also required.

For safety, surfboard and boogie boards can be used at the beach only within certain parameters. Any board with a hard fin is prohibited while lifeguards are on duty. Boards that hold a soft fin will be allowed only at the discretion of the lifeguards. Your child will need to bring their board to the lifeguard for inspection before taking it into the water.

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY WFD BEACH AT ANY TIME.

We ask that all beach goers carry out whatever they bring in. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed on the beaches.

Staying off the dunes and dune grass is vital to the preservation of the dunes and the beaches.

Enjoy the beaches and please help us keep them clean and safe!
